In its present form, the Conservation Network of EAAE came into being in 2007. Before this event, two meetings on conservation had been organized by the “Lemaire Centre our la Conservation”, the Katholieke Universiteit at Leuven. The Network is an open one, structured around intensive workshops held every two years, hosted by a member school of EAAE.

EAAE Conservation Network Workshops
Since 2007, numerous workshops have taken place, in many places across Europe. The workshop proceedings undergo peer review and are published by the EAAE, available on the EAAE website under the "Transactions" section. These workshops provide a platform for educators and professionals in the field of conservation to exchange ideas and address both the theoretical and practical challenges involved in preserving the architectural heritage of buildings, urban areas, and designed landscapes.
